Detailed Kenya safari masai mara itinerary

On arrival, you will be picked up by our guide from the airport and head to your booked accommodation in the heart of Nairobi city where you will have a tour around the city’s metropolitan area, administrative structures, nature parks, museums, historical monuments, hotels and restaurants, handmade art and craft shops, lounges, market places and engaging with various local people in Nairobi. A chance too to taste local foods and cuisines like mchomo and other street foods. Later in the evening, a nightlife in the lounges and clubs in Nairobi will be waiting for you along with various cocktails and beverages on your Kenya safari masai mara.

The second day on your Kenya safari masai mara will get you heading out through Nairobi city to Nairobi national park which is just 7km outside the city. Similarly like other game parks, there are numerous bird and mammal species such as lions, leopards, giraffes, hippos, ostriches, rhinos, hartebeests, waterbucks, hyenas, buffaloes, kobs, reptiles among others. This park will give you a unique scenery of the existing interdependency of nature and its wild with modernity. The later afternoon hours will get heading out of the park to lake Nakuru national park.

Lake Nakuru which one of the world’s highest bird concentrated areas with more than a million flamingos, pelicans, storks, geese, ducks among others residing at this shallow lake is a no miss on a Kenya safari masai mara. Its the shallowness of lake Nakuru easily exposes algae which acts as food to the lesser and greater flamingos and other water birds thus making it a favorite place for them to stay. Towards evening time, you will drive out of Nakuru getting closer to the masai mara.

You will be able to engage in various activities during your stay there such as; scuba diving, swimming, kite rafting, horse riding, nature walks, sea creature viewing like sea turtles, dolphins, corals among others, spot fishing, enjoying sea food cuisines and coconut cocktails, beach sports, camp fires among others, have a view rare species for example yellow baboon, Angolan colobus, Sykes monkey, bush babies and bird species for example; african barred owlet, malachite kingfisher, house crow, mosque swallow, pied kingfisher, gray heron among others.

Day 10 Departure
