Day 1 transfer to mtn. Rwenzori park visitors' center
On the first day of your Rwenzori mountaineering adventure & wildlife safari, you will travel to the foothills of mountain Rwenzori as you prepare to start your hiking activities at the Rwenzori mountain national park and beyond to the great heights of the mountains of the moon.

- The trek will take you up to Weismann’s peak via vast pristine montane forests of the Rwenzori Mountain where you may see many bird species including the unique Rwenzori region & Albertine rift endemics, black & white colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys and reptiles up to Sine camp at 2,598m. The next day you’ll walk up through the bamboo zone along a series of switchbacks to Kalalama camp 3,147m then on to Mutinda camp 3,688m at the base of Mutinda peak. From here you may take a 2 to 3 hour climb to Mutinda peak with lookouts where there are fantastic views of the Rwenzori mountain ranges.
- Next day you climb to Bugata camp 4,062m across the alpine moors. From here you ascend to Weismann’s peak at 4,620m where on a clear day you’ll have awesome views of Mt. Stanley, Mt. Speke and Mt. Baker. After enjoying the views, you descend down the views you descend down the Nyamwamba valley.
