When is the best time for a Rwenzori trekking & wildlife safari?

Best time to enjoy a Rwenzori mountaineering adventure & wildlife experience in Uganda is during the summer/ dry season months from late May to August and December to February. Dry months in Uganda have the montane hiking trails less slippery unlike the higher altitudinal trails beyond at the cloud level where rain drops are the order of the day. Studded hiking boots will help you maneuver these muddy paths. Dry seasons also get savannah grasslands short & spacious with reduced green making wild animals more visible during game drives. Rainy/ wet season months of September- November and March to May are also still good for this Rwenzori mountaineering adventure & wildlife especially for budget travelers since they are considered low tourism season months and attract low costs on amenities.
