Chimpanzee & rhino tracking
Chimpanzees are some of the most rare species to locate in Kenya with only 40 individuals found at Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary in Ol Pejeta conservancy. Still Ol Pejeta conservancy has the world's last 2 endangered northern white rhinos and highest population of eastern black rhinos at 165 individuals. The park has 4 of the Africa's big 5 (lions, leopards, rhinos and buffaloes) along with zebras, giraffes, water bucks, antelopes, warthogs etc. Birders also find this place gem with over 450 recorded bird species with more immigrant European species flocking in between May and September. Elephant calves can be seen in the nearby Sheldrick wildlife trust, a sanctuary that takes care of orphaned elephant calves.
