Detailed Mountain Rwenzori trekking experiences safari
Day 1 transfer to the foothills of mountain Rwenzori
On arrival at the Entebbe international airport, you’ll be taken to your preferred hotel for a relaxation moment from where you will head to the foothills of mountain Rwenzori national park via Kasese.

Climbing the legendary mountains of the moon- the Rwenzoris, along the Central circuit trail begins after a briefing at mountain Rwenzori national park headquarters. This 5 hours’ hiking with porters from the Nyakalengija trial covers a distance of 1,600 meters. The trail will take you through Bakonjo homesteads and farmlands in steep slopes of the mountain and continue with the Mubuku River trail from where you will again cross river Mahoma before returning to the park headquarters. This forest section of the park has some of the park’s unique wild animals such as blue monkeys, black & white colobus monkeys, chimpanzees, chameleons, mountain elephants, Rwenzori & Albertine bird endemic species. Some of these species are not easily seen but this one day trail is a top experience for bird lovers.

First day in Queen Elizabeth N.P, you will head out to the wilderness of the most famous/ popular & visited park in Uganda for boat cruise at Kazinga channel and wildlife game drives. Second day, you will continue with game drives to see huge herds of elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, 660 plus bird species, hippos, lions, leopards etc. You’ll also visit crater lakes, landing sites and communities. On the third day, you will continue drives through the Ishasha sector also known for the rear species of tree climbing lions.

This day you’ll head out to Kalinzu forest for a phenomena chimpanzee tracking experience along with other forest primates such as the red colobus monkey, black & white colobus monkey, numerous bird species, etc.

On the last day on your wildlife safari experience, you will trek out to see the endangered mountain gorillas in the UNESCO heritage Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. This forest harbors more than half of the world’s total remaining mountain gorilla species and one of the only destinations where they are found.

Day 7 return to Kampala & departure
Lastly, you’ll travel back to Kampala to your preferred hotel as you wait to embark on your departure flights.
