Detailed Murchison falls bird-watching trip itinerary
Day 1 Kampala city
You will arrive at Entebbe international airport and be picked up by our guide who will be holding a pluck card having your name and will get you to your booked accommodation on either the shores of Lake Victoria or in the heart of the city Kampala for some rest. After a 1-2-hour rest, you will embark on a city tour around Kampala hills learning about the history of the country’s administration city and many of its status monuments and ancient history; the Buganda kingdom, its strongholds in this city and its importance to Uganda, religion and its strongholds and history, business strongholds and markets, street foods and fruits and the ways of life of Ugandans. Later on in the evening, you will have an experience of the city’s night life then after have rest till the next day. This day’s itinerary to some extent depends on your time arrival at the airport.

Day 2 Zziwa rhino sanctuary
On this day, you will wake up early in the morning and take on a 4-hour journey to Ziwa rhino sanctuary to spend the day around some of the world’s endangered species; the white African southern rhinos. This sanctuary has more than 40 of these animals in number along with numerous bird species in its swampy sections of the park, kobs, leopards, African wild cats, Rothschild’s giraffes, waterbucks, warthogs among others all of which can be seen while taking a nature walk at Ziwa rhino sanctuary. You will use the last 2 hours of the evening to head to Murchison falls national park for the next day’s activity.

Day 3 Murchison falls N.P
You will wake up early in the morning have your breakfast and head to the forest headquarters for a briefing about the ways of life of chimpanzees and behaviors and how to counteract their actions for safety and thereafter head deep into the forest where you further come across many other wild fauna like; blue monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, patas monkey, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, and numerous bird species that amount to more than 450 types for this park and many take stay in this forest part of the park. After chimpanzee tracking, you will drive through the wild gazing at wildlife before have your lunch. After lunch you will head to the banks of the river Nile for a 3-4-hour boat cruise on the river towards the parks epicenter and anchor piece; the Murchison falls which are also the strongest waterfalls in the world. There after you will be taken to your booked accommodation to rest and wait for the next day.

Day 4 Murchison falls park game drives
On this day you will wake up very early in the morning and embark on a wildlife game drive before the sunrise in the vast savannah grasslands of Uganda’s largest national park. This tour will get you some of Africa’s most unique wild game right from Africa’s big 5; lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, Nubian & rothschild’s giraffes, warthogs, baboons, vervet monkeys, water birds, sun birds, raptors, scavengers, hippos, wild dogs, kobs, kudus, antelopes, water bucks, hyenas, sitatungas, hartebeests, jackals, reptiles among others. The park has three quarters of the world’s total population of rothschild’s giraffes on the planet. You could also opt for an air balloon safari as part of the morning drive.
Top of the falls hike
Later after lunch in the afternoon, you will set off for a trek to park’s epicenter, to the top of the strongest water falls in the world where 3,000 cubic liters of the Nile water gash through an eight-meter corridor per second down a height of 43 meters making loud thunderous sounds, creating a white mist and a signature rainbow emanating from the impact of the water onto the Nile floor at an unmeasurable force. This marvel will leave you speechless and be forever memorable of the Pearl of Africa.

Day 5 Kampala for departure
Early in the morning, you will wake up to breakfast after which you will set off to a game drive route that will connect to the highway back to Kampala through where you will head to Entebbe international airport for departure.
