Amboseli National Park

Spreading from the feet of mountain Kilimanjaro for an area of 392.06km², Amboseli national park has a core eco-system of 8,000km² that expands across the Kenya- Tanzania border. While in the park, the best view of mountain Kilimanjaro and its snow shinny peak is part of the park’s beauty to offer to its visitors. Known as the home of the African elephant, the park has a high concentration of elephants and one of the parks well known for great elephant family viewing in Kenya. Locally the vicinity is occupied by Masai who settle and carry out agriculture along the swamps. The parks green cover supports over 400 bird species which include pelicans, kingfishers, 47 raptor species (birds of prey) _eagles, owls, kites among others.
